Understanding NDIS and SDA
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provides funding for eligible Australians with disabilities to access supports, services, and accommodation tailored to their needs.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) is designed for individuals who require specially built housing with accessible features and technology to improve their daily lives. SDA funding covers the cost of the home, while personal supports are funded separately.
Who is Eligible for SDA Housing?
To be eligible for SDA funding, you must:
Be an NDIS participant
Be aged 18 to 65
Have SDA funding approved as part of your NDIS plan
